We trade seven days a week. From Monday to Thursday, the casino opens at 10:00 and closes at 04:00. On Friday we open at 10:00 and stay open right through the weekend until 04:00 on Monday, so those days blend into one continuous session. We are closed on Good Friday, ANZAC Day, and Christmas Day in line with Queensland regulatory requirements, and those dates are important to keep in mind if you plan a visit.

The complex is set up so gaming is one part of a larger experience. Guests move between the casino floor, the restaurants and bars, and live entertainment without needing to leave the building. Under the same roof as the casino you will find three to four dining and bar venues operating at any given time. Live music is scheduled five nights a week. Alongside that, we program themed evenings, seasonal activities and regular sports screenings. Major Australian and international sporting fixtures show across multiple screens throughout the venue, so you can follow a match from the dining area, from the bar, or while you are on the casino floor.

It is worth remembering that entertainment calendars like ours do move around from week to week. Checking what is on before you arrive is usually smarter than assuming a recurring act or event is running. Our hotel operates under the Pullman brand and is managed by Accor as part of the ALL - Accor Live Limitless loyalty program. It carries a 5-star rating and has 128 rooms and suites. Members of ALL can earn and redeem points during their stay here in the usual way, subject to their program conditions.

Room types range from standard rooms through to suites. The hotel is physically connected to the casino and the entertainment complex, so guests staying with us can move directly between their room, the gaming floor, restaurants and bars without heading back outside. Bookings are managed through all.accor.com or directly with the property.

The rooftop area is worth its own mention. Up there we have an outdoor swimming pool, a spa and hot tub, a sauna, and a fully equipped gym. The outlook stretches across the Cairns waterfront and Trinity Inlet. For a lot of guests, that rooftop space is what turns a quick one-night stop into a slightly longer stay.

Our address is 35-41 Wharf Street in central Cairns. From here it is an easy walk to the Cairns Cruise Liner Terminal and Trinity Inlet. This waterfront CBD position means cruise passengers disembarking can reach us quickly, and it makes our complex a convenient base for visitors using Cairns as a launch point for Great Barrier Reef day trips.

History and Ownership

We have been operating for more than 30 years as Cairns’ main entertainment complex. The Reef Casino Trust (ASX: RCT) is the owner and lessor of the Reef Hotel Casino complex, structured as a single-purpose trust in Australia. Accor provides hotel management through the Pullman brand and the ALL loyalty network, while casino operations are managed separately under that ownership structure. For guests, the aim is that this feels like one integrated property rather than two different businesses sharing a roof.

In practice, the hotel and gaming sides of the business are separate but closely connected. Casinos Austria International brings regulated casino management experience across a number of global markets. The Reef Casino Trust is the relevant financial and ownership vehicle for the overall complex, and it appears in corporate and investor contexts as well as in the broader structure of the property.
